Why Blog ... In 60 Seconds

Posted by: Gary Pierce II

Tagged in: Online Marketing , Blogs

The blog has evolved into an online marketing tool that is changing the retail landscape.  Blog, stands for web - log, and it is like an online journal, where the blogger writes down his or her thoughts for the world to read.

In a small business world, this is a great way to educate your customers about your products and services, plus it will create a draw for customers to continually visit your site - increasing website traffic.  Pierce Multimedia can develop a blog to fit into an existing website or create a website to feature a blog.  We develop our websites from a marketing mindset, so we don't encourage you to just create a blog for the fun of it, but to increase profits and customer interaction.  Blogs can feature customer interaction through the comment system associated with the post.  From a marketing stand point, blogs are amazing and small businesses need to be doing this and we can help them do that and provide some education on how to do them right.

I am involved with a networking group in Glasgow, Kentucky and we meet weekly to educate each other about our products and services.  As part of that networking and education, we each get to spend about a minute to talk about our products and services.  When you see a blog post here with " ... In 60 Seconds", know that this blog post is taken from one of those education minutes.

How Can I Get On Top Of Google Search Results?

Posted by: Gary Pierce II

The first question I usually get from a client about a website is, "How do I get on the top of Google Search Results?"  This is a great question with 3 answers, let me outline them for you.

1)  The Cheap & Slow Way - You can have your website listed on directories.  You can get people to link to you.  This method is all about getting links from other websites to point to your website.  Google will scan a website and all of its links and if they see there are lots of sites linking to you, Google sees your site as important and your page rank goes up.

2) The Expensive & Fast Way - Pay for it.  Google sells advertising positions on all search results and you can pay to advertise your site there.  You can literally be on top of the Google Search Results with in minutes!  Click here to learn more about this service from Pierce Multimedia.  Contact us today to get started.

3)  The Middle Way - Search Engine Optimization is a great way to make your site visible within the search results.  It consists of manipulating some META data and other techniques.  We offer this service for a fee, or you can use some of our software and do it by yourself.  Contact us today if you would like to know more.

Your New Front Door

Posted by: Gary Pierce II

As small business owners, we spend alot of time thinking through the sales process.  We want to make it easy for customers to do business with us.  We will try to have convenient hours for business, toll free numbers and a welcoming store front.  These are all great things to think about, but did you know that your business' new front door is not on your building, but on your customer's computer - it's your website.

If you have a website, then you are available to your customers and potential customers 24/7 anywhere in the world! if you don't have a website, then you are available to your customers for 8 to 10 hours a day and only available at your physical location.  A website is an affordable way to extend your business to an ocean of potential customers who may not have been able to meet you between 9 and 5 Monday thru Saturday.

A website can make the sell easier because consumers today are researchers, they will spend hours online researching products and services.  We want to be educated and when you have your website full of information of your products and services, you will set your business apart from your competition.
